Tomorrow is now! Welcome to your future!

Three/four years journey of PhD is exciting, stimulating, exhilarating, fun and rewarding, but also could be hard working, exhausting and stressful, which thereby makes it more difficult to think about what to do after the PhD, especially while you are fully occupied by struggling with the experiments, analyzing the data and writing the thesis.

For many PhD students the next step often would be a Postdoc position in academia, regardless of the fact that only a small fraction of PhDs could eventually get a long-term or permanent position in academia. However, actually there are so many other different career options opened to PhDs, which you might never thought about! When you stand at your career/life crossroads, which could be right direction? Stay in academia? Enter industry? Communication science? Consulting? Or even start your own start-up?
All these questions will be addressed by our group of international speakers, from different fields, but all sharing the common fact: They started their career with a scientific PhD.
To learn more about your career options, we welcome you to join our PhD symposium “Careers after PhD: The day after tomorrow” held at the IGBMC in Strasbourg from 28-29/10/2016. So, what are you still waiting for? Check our program and click on registration to start the path into your future.

Do not forget, your career is in your hands.

Looking forward to see you there,

The organizing comittee.
